Book a free spray foam inspection
About an hour in your loft tells you exactly what is up there and what it means, free, with no obligation to book removal. If the answer is that the foam can stay, that is what the report says and there is nothing to pay.
No obligation, no deposit
Have someone look at it properly
An hour in the loft and you will know exactly where you stand, in writing, with photographs. If the foam is sound, that is what the report says and there is nothing to pay.
Book the free inspection
Two steps. No deposit, and nothing to pay if the foam is sound.
How it works
What happens when you book
You tell us what is happening
Selling, remortgaging, a failed survey, equity release, or damp you have noticed yourself. It takes two minutes and it tells us what to look for before we arrive.
We inspect the loft properly
A surveyor gets into the loft, identifies the foam type, checks coverage, probes the timbers where they can be reached and looks at the membrane. Photographs throughout, including the awkward corners nobody usually checks.
You get the verdict there and then
What the foam is, what condition it is in, and whether it genuinely needs to come out. If the answer is that it can stay, you hear that on the day, not after a follow-up call trying to change your mind.
The written report follows by email
The same findings, the photographs, and, if removal is needed, a fixed price with every extra itemised. Nothing to sign on the day and no deposit requested at any point.
The practical questions, answered
| Question | Answer |
|---|---|
| How long does it take? | About an hour, sometimes less for a small loft. |
| What does it cost? | Nothing. The inspection and the written report are free, whatever the verdict. |
| What do I get? | A written report with photographs, stating the foam type, its condition, and whether it needs to come out. |
| What if it can stay? | The report says so, you keep your money, and you can hand it straight to your surveyor, your broker or your buyer. |
| Is there any obligation to book removal? | None. You can take the report and get other quotes, or do nothing at all. |
What we actually check
Foam type, coverage and thickness. Whether a ventilation path still exists at the eaves. The timbers, wherever they can be reached, for staining, softness or movement. The membrane, where it is visible. Whether the roof looks like a survey problem, a building problem, both, or neither. That last question is the one most phone quotes cannot answer, because nobody has actually been in the loft.
Before you book
Do I have to be present for the survey?
It helps, mainly so you can ask questions on the spot and hear the verdict directly rather than waiting for the report. If you cannot be there, we photograph everything and talk you through it by phone or email afterwards.
How quickly can you come out?
We call back the same working day to arrange a time. Exact availability depends on your area and the current diary, and we will tell you honestly at the time rather than promising a date we cannot keep.
Will you pressure me into removal if the foam is actually fine?
No. The verdict that the foam can stay is a genuine outcome, not a rare one: around two thirds of the lofts inspected in a Property Care Association and HomeOwners Alliance programme of over 500 properties had no defect at all, May 2025. If yours is one of them, we would rather be the firm that told you than the one that sold you a job you did not need.
What areas do you cover?
England, Wales and southern Scotland. See the full list of areas, and if your town is not listed there, ask us when you book, the area covered is wider than any list.
Is a phone survey the same as this?
No. A phone call cannot identify foam type, check ventilation or probe a timber. Anyone offering a firm price without getting into your loft is guessing, and a guess that happens to favour removal is the more profitable kind of guess to make.
